The argument of this proposal is the opening from the inner of the historic city to the walled enclosure of the XVII century, forgotten areas, real urban rears, and with a huge cultural and landscape potential, joining them to the urban activity by using new possibilities of access and the introduction of new uses and new architectonic shapes that, at the same time that stablish a dialogue with the pre-existing architecture, are able to develop a more ambitious process and attentive to the present time.
The replacement of big containers which are no longer used by a hotel and a big provisional building (Navarra’s Public Library) joint the modern area to that historic context. The proyect analyses and interprets the builded kinds and the pre-existing areas and turn them into useful instruments that are able to generate a new architecture attentive to the time that has to live.
