We believe that the building should offer a strong representative status commensurate with the long history of this spring and that this ability to represent must respond to the qualities of the existing landscape, with a contemporary language, able to overcome to the chaos represented by lava flows.

For this end, and looking human interventions, who cualifyes the immediate environment, we find next the image of the saltworkd with their reflexes against the sea, evocative from water world and very architectural by planes management and order of pits. An image of horizontal planes familiar with the water world and serene as the spa environment requires.

By its position respect the road and its condition of a seen building from above seems particularly pleasant to  adopting this picture to order the upper floor plan, fundamental in this project.

A building modelled by water must be a building with a important horizontal component, and so we want to see, defined by two horizontal planes using the most abundant material, the basalt, with small and rough exploded, that from inside the building belonging to a place and commitment to the demands of a sustainable construction and coherent with enviroment resources.

Water, air and lava will be the materials that will shape this new construction of the palmer landscape.
